Companion Terms
1. Introduction
Welcome to Bonafide Xchange ("BFX"). These Terms apply to Companions who create profiles or are advertised on BFX. By using the platform, you agree to these Terms and all applicable laws. BFX is a technology and advertising platform, not your employer or agent.
2. Definitions
- Companion — An independent worker advertising services.
- Client — A user contacting or booking Companions.
- Profile — Your listing including text, images, services, rates.
- Content — Any media or text you upload.
- Booking Lounge — BFX's booking and messaging system.
- Reliability Information — Aggregated indicators about a Client's platform history, such as a score, band, or behavioural signals, shown to Companions.
3. Eligibility & Independent Status
You must be 18+, provide accurate details, comply with state laws, and acknowledge you are an independent contractor controlling your rates, services, and boundaries.
4. Uploading & Managing Content
You must upload genuine images of yourself, keep all Profile details accurate, and hold rights to any Content uploaded. BFX may remove Content that is illegal, unsafe, or misleading.
5. Live Feed
Your Live Feed posts are public. Anyone who can see your Profile can see them, including people who are not signed in, and search engines may index them. You must hold the rights to any image you post, it must be of you, and it must not show any other identifiable person.
You must not name, describe, or otherwise identify a Client or any other individual in a post. If you need to raise a concern about a Client, use Safety Xchange or the reporting tools — never a public post.
The BFX Post Rules at /code-of-conduct/companion#live-feed apply to every post and form part of these Terms. BFX may remove any post at its discretion and will tell you the category of reason. A removed post, its edit history, and its image are retained rather than deleted — the Privacy Policy explains for how long. You may appeal a removal from your dashboard. Repeated breaches may lead to your Live Feed posting being suspended, or to suspension of your account.
6. Verification
Verification may require ID, selfies, or additional documentation. Verification improves trust but may be withdrawn if information is inaccurate.
7. Messaging & Conduct
You must communicate respectfully, not harass Clients or staff, not promote illegal services, and follow platform safety guidelines.
8. Bookings, Cancellations & Boundaries
You may decline or end any booking at any time. You and Clients may block each other; blocking prevents further contact through the platform. After a booking's scheduled end, BFX may ask both parties to confirm whether it took place. You remain responsible for your safety and boundaries.
9. Reviews & Ratings
Clients may be asked to review you after a completed booking. Reviews and category ratings are displayed publicly on your Profile, and your average rating may affect how you appear in listings and computed categories (such as Highly Rated). You can see the display name of a Client who reviews you. BFX may remove or withhold reviews that are unlawful or breach these Terms, but does not verify or guarantee the accuracy of reviews. To dispute a review, contact support@bfxchange.com.au.
After a booking that you and the Client both confirm took place, you may also review the Client. Reviewing is optional, you have 14 days, and you can review or decline once per booking. Your comment and category ratings appear publicly on the Client's profile without your name, though your review is not anonymous to BFX, and the Client is not notified when it is published. The same honesty rules apply as to any other review. If you review the same Client again, only your newest review stays on their profile.
10. Client Feedback & Reliability Information
After an enquiry ends, BFX may invite you to complete a short private feedback survey about how the enquiry was conducted. An enquiry ends when it is cancelled by either side, when either side stops replying for an extended period, when the response window the Client set runs out, or when a booking that came out of it takes place and you and the Client both confirm it. A booking being called off is not an enquiry ending: an invitation withdrawn, or a confirmed booking cancelled, does not prompt a survey. Participation is optional. Your answers must be honest and based on your genuine experience of that enquiry on BFX. Submitting false, retaliatory, or coordinated feedback, or using feedback to punish a Client unfairly, is a breach of these Terms; BFX may exclude or down-weight your feedback and take action against your account.
Your individual survey responses are not shown to the Client through the platform, and written notes are visible only to authorised BFX administrators. If a Client makes a request under privacy law to access information we hold about them, we will not reveal your identity, and we will withhold or de-identify material to the extent the Privacy Act allows. Feedback raising a serious safety concern is routed to BFX staff for human review. BFX may combine feedback from multiple Companions with platform activity records to generate Reliability Information about Clients, made available to Companions.
Reliability Information is an aggregated, automatically generated indicator provided to help you form your own judgement. It is not a statement of fact about any individual interaction, and BFX does not guarantee any Client's behaviour. It is provided for your personal use on the platform only — you must not publish, screenshot, or share it outside BFX.
11. Prohibited Conduct
No stolen images, impersonation, minors, coercion, harassment, scams, or illegal activity. No false or retaliatory feedback, and no manipulation of reviews, ratings, or reliability systems. Publishing a Live Feed post that breaches the BFX Post Rules is prohibited, as is using a post to name, describe, or warn about a Client or any other individual — Safety Xchange and the reporting tools are where a warning about a Client belongs.
12. Fees & Payments
BFX may charge listing or promotional fees. You agree to pay all applicable fees. BFX does not process payments between Clients and Companions. If you sell content or request a deposit through the Booking Lounge, you share your own payment details in the chat and the Client pays you directly. BFX stores those details and any receipt the Client uploads so the conversation keeps a record, but it is not a party to the transaction, holds no money, and cannot reverse a payment or issue a refund.
13. Safety & Consent
You must work voluntarily. Clients must respect boundaries. BFX may take action against unsafe behaviour.
14. Privacy & Data
BFX takes reasonable steps to store your data securely and protect your identity. Verification documents are not shared with Clients.
15. Disclaimers
BFX does not guarantee bookings, income, the behaviour of Clients, or the accuracy of reviews or Reliability Information. Use of the platform is at your own risk.
16. Suspension & Termination
BFX may suspend or remove your Profile for breaches such as false information, illegal content, impersonation, or harassment.
17. Indemnity
You indemnify BFX against claims, losses, or liabilities arising from your Content, conduct, or breaches.
18. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
Client Terms
1. Introduction
These Terms apply to Clients who browse, message, or book Companions using Bonafide Xchange ("BFX").
2. Eligibility
Clients must be 18+, use accurate information, and comply with relevant laws.
3. Conduct Expectations
Clients must behave respectfully and lawfully, never harass Companions, never pressure for unsafe or illegal acts, and never attempt to discover a Companion's real identity.
4. Messaging Rules
Clients must communicate respectfully and professionally, with no explicit photos without consent, no harassment, no spam, and no pressure after a decline.
5. Booking Behaviour
Clients must provide accurate details, respect boundaries, and honour confirmed bookings.
6. No-Shows & Cancellations
Cancel any booking you cannot attend as early as possible. Repeated no-shows may result in removal. Late cancellations — cancelling a confirmed booking shortly before it starts — and enquiries left without a clear outcome are recorded and may affect your Reliability Information (see section 8). Not turning up is not scored against you on its own; a booking that does not take place simply earns none of the credit a completed one does.
7. Reviews
If you confirm that a booking took place, you will be asked to review the Companion before the booking is closed. Any review you submit must be honest and based on your genuine experience. Your review and ratings are displayed publicly on the Companion's profile, and your review is linked to your account — the reviewed Companion can see your display name. BFX may remove reviews that are unlawful or breach these Terms. The Companion may also review you. Their review is optional, and their comment and category ratings appear publicly on your BFX profile alongside your averages. Reviewers are shown anonymously, and we do not notify you when a review of you is published, so check your profile if you want to see them. Only a Companion's newest review of you is displayed. Once you and the Companion have both confirmed the booking took place, the enquiry behind it closes, and the Companion may also be asked for private feedback about how that enquiry was conducted — see section 8.
8. Platform Activity & Reliability Information
BFX keeps records of your activity on the platform, including enquiries, bookings, confirmations, cancellations and the notice given, enquiry and booking outcomes, blocks, and reports. Companions may also privately provide BFX with structured feedback about their interactions with you, including enquiries that end without a booking.
BFX may combine this information into Reliability Information about your account — such as a score, band, and behavioural indicators — shown only to logged-in Companions and authorised BFX staff to help Companions assess enquiries. A Companion can open your Reliability Information from your profile page, but it is never part of the public page itself, and is not visible to you, to other clients, to logged-out visitors, or to search engines.
Indicators are shown only once minimum activity thresholds are met — several closed interactions involving several independent Companions — and behavioural-signal labels based on Companion feedback additionally require consistent reports from several independent Companions. No behavioural-signal label is ever based on a single Companion's survey, and individual feedback is never shown to you or to other users word-for-word. Blocks and reports from individual Companions do count towards your score, capped so that no single Companion can dominate it. Reliability Information reflects a rolling 12-month window of activity and feedback, and improves with reliable behaviour, such as honouring confirmed bookings and cancelling properly. Formally declining or properly cancelling an enquiry, or contacting several Companions, is never itself scored against you. When an enquiry ends, the Companion involved may be asked for feedback about how it was conducted, and that feedback can affect your Reliability Information. An enquiry ends when it is cancelled, when either side stops replying for an extended period, when the response window you set runs out, or when a booking that came out of it takes place and you and the Companion both confirm it. A booking being called off is not surveyed; what the booking record shows (confirmations, cancellations and the notice given) is used directly.
You will not be told which Companion provided feedback. If you believe Reliability Information about you is inaccurate, contact support@bfxchange.com.au; our Privacy Policy explains how to seek access and correction. You consent to this processing, and to Reliability Information being made available to Companions, when you accept these Terms.
9. Safety & Consent
Clients must respect consent at all times and cease immediately if a Companion withdraws consent.
10. Profile Information
BFX displays Companion-provided information and is not responsible for inaccuracies.
11. Payments
BFX does not process payments between Clients and Companions. When you buy content or pay a deposit through the Booking Lounge, you pay the Companion directly using the details they share with you, and any receipt you upload stays in that chat where the Companion can see it. BFX holds no money and cannot reverse a payment. A receipt often shows your own banking details, so upload only what you are willing to share with that Companion.
12. Prohibited Activities
No illegal service requests, minors, trafficking, coercion, harassment, scams, or duplicate accounts. No manipulation of reviews, feedback, or reliability systems. Reporting content dishonestly, or organising others to report content, is a breach of these Terms and may lead to suspension.
13. Disclaimers
BFX is not responsible for disputes, cancellations, or user conduct.
14. Termination
BFX may suspend or remove Clients for unsafe or disrespectful behaviour.
15. Indemnity
Clients indemnify BFX for losses arising from misconduct.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.

4. Content Responsibilities

9. Safety & Compliance
Agencies must uphold Companion safety, comply with legal requirements, and report concerns.
10. Suspension & Termination
BFX may suspend or terminate accounts for breaches including coercion, misleading content, stolen images, or legal violations.
11. Disclaimers
BFX does not manage bookings, guarantee outcomes, or verify agency operations beyond documentation.
12. Indemnity
Agencies indemnify BFX against claims or losses arising from content, conduct, or legal breaches.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
